IDHL’s Charity Commitment and The Great Sanlam Cycling Challenge

The IDHL group are always eager to make a positive impact and this month is no different. Our CEO Dennis Engel says: “Here at IDHL Group, we like to be a part of the community and that’s why we are always keen to support our employees, clients and charities in their endeavours to give back.”

We regularly hold fundraising events in our offices and vote for our Charity of the Year to support each year. Last year, our nominated charity was St Michael’s Hospice in Harrogate and some of our brave employees took on Yorkshire’s Three Peaks Challenge as well as a Charity Skydive for this great cause, raising nearly £3,000 from these two events alone!

Our Charity of the Year for 2017 is Candlelighters and some of the fundraising events we have planned include our monthly Bake-Off days and a Charity Dog Walk.

Another way we’re giving back to the community this month is by supporting the asset management industry in their initiative to raise over £1 million for Cancer Research in 2017. We’re sponsoring Sanlam UK, who are aiming to raise £100,000 for CASCAID by hosting a series of events to raise money for this fantastic cause, doing everything from bake sales to sponsored walks to beard growing!

Their main event will be the Great Sanlam Cycling Challenge. Led by their CEO, Jonathan Polin, members of the Sanlam team will be cycling across the country, stopping at each of their regional offices. From London to Bath and St Asaph to Teesside, the team will cycle an impressive total of 850 miles!
