Ad customisers enable your ads to be dynamic in real-time to your specific audience based on a data feed. This means your ads can be specific to what a user is searching for, where they are browsing and based on their device etc.

Ad customizers are made up of parameters which are inside brackets such as {test}. Each parameter includes two parts: the data sheet reference and the column reference.

The datasheet is an excel spreadsheet which contains several attribute columns, these include price, text, number and date. These attributes are required to communicate with Google on how to format the data set in the sheet (see below an example of attributes)

You can also use additional columns attributes to target different campaigns, for example, if you want to target by ad group you’ll need to “Target ad group” and “Target campaign” columns.
